The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy has issued a notice informing citizens that 1^st May is International Labor Day and that it will be celebrated on two days, Friday 1^st May and Saturday 2^nd May 2026, in accordance with the Law on Holidays of the SFRY ("Official Gazette of the SFRY", number 6/73), which is applied as a federal law based on the Regulation with legal force on the adoption and application of federal laws that are applied in Bosnia and Herzegovina as republic laws ("Official Gazette of the RBiH", number 2/92), or, the Law on Confirmation of Regulations with Legal Force ("Official Gazette of RBiH", number 13/94).

On these days, employers, institutions, administrative bodies, and other legal entities will not work.
